CALIFORNIA

  • Corrected a print issue where dependent information on Line 10 of 540-NR were truncated into one column (Issue 2549)

GIFTS TO CHARITY

  • Updated the calculation limitation threshold from 50% (2017) to 60%(2018) for donations made to charitable organizations. Note: The limitation worksheet will still reflect 2017 rates because the IRS has not released the 2018 version yet but all calculations are updated to 2018. (Issue 2292)

MISSOURI

  • Correct an issue with MO-PTS where Line 2 was not including all Tier I RRB benefits (Issue 2463)

We have a scheduled release for Thursday, January 31st. The items below are scheduled to be released tomorrow morning.

ALABAMA

  • Correct a display/print issue where the SP name was carrying to certain AL schedules when Married Filing Separate (Issue 2433)

DELAWARE

  • Corrected an issue where the additional standard deduction amount when age 65 or over was not being applied to the Spouse (Issue 2488)

MICHIGAN

  • Corrected an issue on Form 4884 where applicable exclusions were carrying to Line 28 instead of Line 29 (Issue 2435)

E-FILE DIRECT DEBIT

  • Correct an issue where the date of filing was being included as the Federal Direct Debit date instead of the requested future date (Issue 2487)
    • Any Federal returns that were being held due to this issue can now be transmitted

1040 VIEW

  • Correct an issue where clicking on certain line items from 1040 View was throwing an error instead of directing you to the intended area of the program (Issue 2491)

ALABAMA

  • Correct an issue where the full amount of Long-Term Care Premiums paid were not being deducted. The Federal amount reported now automatically carries to the AL Schedule A. Any additional LTCP allowed on the AL return can be entered within the Alabama itemized deduction menu (Issue 2438)

MISSISSIPPI

  • Correct a display issue on the PDF of Form 80-160, Line 12 (Issue 2501)

MONTANA

  • Correct a display issue between the MT Refund Generator and what displays on the PDF for MFS on Combined Returns (Issue 2504)

STATE E-FILE

  • Correct an issue related to several state submissions where the STIN was not being included in the submission resulting in a state validation

OREGON

  • Correct an issue where the OR Schedule A is not generating in the PDF (Summary/Print) when needed (Issue 2311)

ZIP CODE DATABASE

  • Adding 05408 to zip code database for Burlington, VT (Issue 2406)

2017 STATES

  • Corrected an issue in 2017 where clicking to “edit” a state return was prompting to close the window (Issue 2512)

ALABAMA

  • Added the ability within “Basic Information” to choose the AL Standard Deduction or AL Itemized Deduction when MFS (Issue 2434)

ARIZONA

  • Add an adjustment field within the AZ Itemized Deductions menu to adjust gambling winnings on AZ Schedule A, Line 7 when not reported on a W-2G (Issue 2437)

IDAHO

  • Corrected an entry issue within the Grocery Credit menu for dependents where a value greater than “12” months could not be entered (Issue 2460)
  • Corrected an issue where Column F was not calculating on Form CG (Issue 2462)

KENTUCKY

  • Corrected an issue where certain Federal Itemized Deductions were carrying to KY Schedule A when no longer allowed at the state level (Issue 2483)

MONTANA

  • Corrected an issue where the “Total Rent Paid” menu opened a blank screen (Issue 2457)

NEW YORK

  • Corrected an issue where NY Long-Term Care Premiums entered within the Itemized Deduction menu were not carrying to Form IT-196, Line 41 (Issue 2424)
  • Corrected an issue where NY was taking the itemized deduction when standard deduction was higher (Issue 2485)

NORTH CAROLINA

  • Removed the “Children Deduction” menu inside the Subtractions from Income menu because this is automatically calculated based on Federal entries (Issue 2441)

TAXPAYER NOTES 

  • Limited character entries to 200 characters when inside of a return. This has already been implemented outside of the return (Issue 2358)

TRANSMISSION MENU

  • Corrected a display issue where the newly added state columns were not consistently showing state values (Issue 2423)

WISCONSIN

  • Removed “Code 26” from the Subtractions from Income menu related to retirement exclusion because it is now automatically calculated based on Federal entries (Issue 2474)

  • Update the Foreign Tax Withheld box to reflect “Box 6” instead of “Box 7” (Issue 2370)

1099-R

  • Updating 1040 line references within the 1099-R warning prompted when reporting Code 3 in Box 7 (Issue 2368)

MARYLAND

  • Correct a calculation issue where the state and local general sales tax was carrying to Line 17b instead of state and local income tax (Issue 2419)

  • Corrected a print issue when a MFS return was printing the Spouse name in the 1040 Header for MFJ spouse name fields (Issue 2486)

DELAWARE

  • Correct a calculation issue in the DE Nonresident program when filing status Single for Pension Subtraction. The Federal Column, Line 23 was populating a value when no value present in State Column (Issue 2347)

STACKED COPY OF SCHEDULES 1 – 3

  • Correct a print alignment issue on the stacked copy of Schedule 1 through 3 where the Foreign Tax Credit amount was carrying to incorrect line (Issue 2453)

  • Correct a display issue where net Schedule C profit/loss was carrying to the QBID line (Line 9) instead of being shown on Line 6 (Issue 2263)
  • Correct a checkbox display issue where the CTC box was being marked instead of ODC box for qualifying person(s) (Issue 2470)

ALABAMA

  • Correct a print issue from the State PDF View where not all forms were generating (all forms generated from Summary/Print) (Issue 2365)

E-FILE

  • Correct an issue where a future direct debit date could not be selected for the Federal amount due (Issue 2449)

MISSISSIPPI

  • Add the ability to adjust how alimony payments were allocated between TP/SP (Issue 2379)

NEBRASKA

  • Correct an issue related to Federal interest reported with an amount listed as taxable to NE which caused the calc/prints to break on the return (Issue 2459)

TAXPAYER NOTES

  • Limiting taxpayer note entries to 200 characters in length (Issue 2358)
    • This has only been implemented when adding/editing notes from the Client List

  • Removing additional fields from the “Additional Personal Information” menu that do not carry to a CA return (Issue 2426)
  • Correct an issue where initially creating CA returns is not immediately loading the state sub-menu page (Issue 2450)

COLORADO

  • Correct an issue where QBID was being added back in to the Federal Taxable Income that carried to Line 1 of the CO return (Issue 2448)

ILLINOIS

  • Correct an issue where the Schedule 1299C, Credits Carried Forward menu is opening up blank (Issue 2442)

OHIO

  • Correct an issue where the “County and School District” info menu is opening up blank within the SD-100 menu (Issue 2447)
