As a prior year FSA Kiosk user, how do I access my prior year accepted return? Great question – here’s the answer!

  • Log in to your existing TaxSlayer FSA account which will land you on the Welcome Back/Tax Home page.
  • On the top right of the page, expand the dropdown menu shown below and click on “Purchased Services”.
  • From the “Purchased Services” page, you’ll see the prior years available for download/print going back 3 years.
  • For any year needed, expand the “Download” or “Print” menus to generate a PDF of the Federal and any state returns e-filed and accepted in that year.

The  FSA (Facilitated Self Assistance) Kiosk URL’s that were issued for TY2025 will expire on October 31st.  The links will no longer offer free tax prep to the taxpayers nor offer access to prior year applications. As we begin receiving new orders for TY2025, new URL’s will be generated based on the order received from the IRS and emailed to the volunteer site contact in mid-January 2026.

We recommend that you copy and paste the URL rather than trying to access it from the email.  This prevents your system from seeing it as a phishing threat.  All links are verified as active prior to being sent to the site.  You should see the following after copying and pasting to the browser.

Note your SIDN will be at the end of the URL on the Welcome page.  Selecting Continue takes the taxpayer to the pictured login page

2/28/2023:  We have identified a situation where your prior year taxpayers are getting the following message after completing their initial login from your site specific URL  We are in the process of working on a solution for deployment.  We recommend the taxpayer wait until a solution has been deployed rather than create a new account.  Creating a new account will not give them the option to carry forward the information from the prior year return.  This is not impacting all taxpayers.  You may want to have them try to open up a new browser instance and try the URL again.

Recommended method:  Email because 90% of the time we need to conduct research that is taxpayer specific.  However, we do provide support to the site that is hosting the FSA URL via VITA/TCE Email or phone support.  You will need to have the following information:

  • SIDN Assigned to the FSA URL
  • Taxpayer Email (Email address used to create their FSA taxpayer account)
  • Taxpayer Username (username they created with your FSA URL)
  • Specific error message:  (reject code, validation error, or any other type of error message the taxpayer may be seeing)

Note:  VITA/TCE support cannot interact directly or indirectly with the taxpayer.  The taxpayer will be directed back to your site.

DO NOT give out the VITA/TCE support number or email address to your taxpayer.
