Suggestion Box Responses: A lot has been going on the last couple of weeks

There are three attachments

  • Attachment #1:  Dedicated to application and federal suggestions
  • Attachment #2: Dedicated to State suggestions
    • Sorted by State
  • Attachment #3:  TaxSlayer Suggestion Status
    • Broken into categories
    • Duplicates have been removed and only list the TaxSlayer Responses
    • Added a column to list the year we plan to add the committed item (TS 2017 or TS 2018)
    • Added a column to indicate if the item was added or updated since the last document (may have missed a few this time since I just thought of this today!!)

An example of the status column can be found by Tracking ID 269372 (Ctrl+F allows you search in the document)

Below are some of the items that we have committed to completing since the last update on July 13th.

  • 228024: 2018 – PA: (Pro Web) Capital Gain Transactions with Adjusted Basis on Fed not carrying to PA Sch D correctly
  • 228307: 2018 – MI: (Pro Web) When Accessing “Deductions for Taxpayers Born before 1953” menu prompt user to pull in 1099-R info from Federal return to avoid re-entry.
  • 280151: 2018 – WI: Pro Web – Add Schedule GL to Schedule H
  • 280158: 2018 – WI: Pro Web – Add the Annualized Installment Method Worksheet for Schedule U, Underpayment of Estimated Taxes
  • 280430: 2018 – ME: Pro Web – Carry W-2, Box 14 Amounts for “ME MSRS” to Schedule 1, Line 1c
  • 281659: 2018 – MD: Pro Web – Add Prompt to Adjust Pension Exclusion Calculation for Non-Qualified Pensions
  • 270608: 2018 – Carryforward (Pro Web):  Carry forward the state and State ID with 1099R

We are still reading through and analyzing the suggestions.  We are also beginning to update the Status column as we commit to implement a suggestions.
