Software vendors received the below message from CT Department of Revenue. From 9/1 – 9/12 no acks will be received, however, e-files can still be transmitted.

“The Connecticut Department of Revenue Services will be having an MeF outage for Individual Income Tax starting at 11:30am on Thursday, September 1, 2022 so that we can convert over to our new system.  We are anticipating turning on our new IND gateway on Monday, September 12, 2022 in the early afternoon.“

The site will be placed in maintenance on Thursday, August 11th, beginning at 5:00am ET to release the below update(s). Note that deployments may take up to 3 hours to complete. During this time, access to the program may be limited.

CALIFORNIA (2020)

• Healthcare penalty calculating based on CA Gross Income and not also considering CA Adjusted Gross Income (Issue 7302)

8/15/22 (11:45am ET) – 2020 prints have been restored. Please reach out to support if you experience any issues.

8/15/22 (8:00am ET) – We expect to have this fully resolved today. This note will be updated once the issue has been resolved.

8/12/22 – 2020 prints have been restored

Note: Additional work has been found. For sites still experiencing an issue when printing in 2020, go to Office Setup in Configuration and make sure you select “No Cover Page” as shown below. This will fully restore printing until a fix across the board is available. Another option is to utilize a print set where the “Cover Page” is set to zero (0).

8/9/22 – We have opened a high priority ticket with development to investigate why generating a PDF in the 2020 program is timing out. We do not have an ETA at this time.

VITA/TCE customer support will close at 2:30pm ET on Monday, August 8th. Normal off-season support hours will resume on Tuesday at 8:00am ET.

FORM FINDER

• Add 1099-S to the Form Finder navigation (Update)

FSA

• New accounts were not being verified has qualifying FSA returns (Issue 7286)

E-FILE

• Correct the timeout issue users experienced when exiting e-file to return to site main menu
• Accepted Federal returns locking as Paper Return Type which is preventing state-only e-files (Issue 7287)

TaxSlayer offices will be closed on Monday, July 4th for, well, the Fourth of July. Normal off-season support hours will resume on Tuesday, July 5th.

Software vendors received the below messaging from Pennsylvania.

“MeF was shut down on the PA side on Thursday, May 26th due to an expired security certificate. We are trying to resolve this as quickly as possible (hopefully in the next day or so), but in the meantime we are not bringing in new submissions.”

There is nothing for you to do at this time. Acks will start appearing once PA resolves their issue.
