With the release of a new application year (2023), some oddities and functionality issues may occur. Below are items that have been identified and reported to our development team. This will be a fluid blog post of known functionality issues within the 2023 Practice Lab.

  • Due Diligence Checklist (Form 8867) is being required in 2022 (live returns and Practice Lab) and 2023 Practice Lab  for eligible returns
  • Customer Portal is visible in the Practice Lab when it should not be
  • 1040 View in 2023 Practice Lab shows the 2022 1040
  • Medicaid Waiver input field in W-2 is only displaying if “include as earned income” checkbox is also checked
  • Income threshold listed on dependent page needs updating (currently shows $4,400)
  • Form 8863 is not currently calculating
  • Schedule OI does not allow you to enter multiple types of exempt income
