1/25/2023 – LA returns can now be electronically filed at this time. If your site previously received a LA Reject for “vendor not approved”, those returns can be resubmitted at this time.

LA returns have temporarily been turned off for e-file. This article will be updated once LA e-file has been turned back on. You can still prepare LA returns in the program and e-file Federal and other state returns. Once LA is available for e-file, sites will need to go into each return and file LA as state only.

Update from NY: 1/31/2023

We would like to follow up on when the fix for the R0123 reject is expected to take place. We are looking to get this implemented by the end of this week or early next week.

R0123 “Earned Income Credit claimed on IT-201/IT-203 not = IT-215 or credit form is missing”. This issue would only impact returns that have a filing status of Married Filing Separate.

Update from NY: 1/27/23

We are reaching out to provide you the updated date of when we expect to be fully open. That date is now Monday 1/30/23.

Software vendors received the below message from NY this morning. Impacted NY returns can be resubmitted on Friday the 27th.

We would like to bring to attention that we have discovered an issue in two of our rejects and expect to have fixes in place by Friday 1/27.

  • R0123 “Earned Income Credit claimed on IT-201/IT-203 not = IT-215 or credit form is missing”: This issue would only impact returns that have a filing status of Married Filing Separate.
  • R0158 “Nonresident taxpayer and IT-203-B not attached”. With the change this year in making the IT-203(X) Item H a required field, an enhancement is being implemented to improve this reject.
