Update 4/2/2021 6:00 PM EST: We have deployed a correction to the required change for Unemployment exclusion. You can now open returns with UCE and taxable SSA to show the correction.
We are reviewing a side effect of a change that was required to be made for Unemployment as part of the American Rescue Act. These changes were deployed this morning at 5:00 am. We recommend you create a return tag and hold any return until we can do some further review on the impact and implication of the change. Note: This only impacts returns with UCE and taxable SSA created and/or edited today after 5 am Eastern.
3/31/21 – This has been resolved.
We have opened Issue 5883 to address an issue where Part-Year and Nonresident OR returns are breaking the calc inside a return. Resident OR returns do not appear to be impacted.
8:25am ET: The issue has been resolved and access to state returns has been restored.
8:01am ET: We have received reports of users getting errors when going to the state portion of the return. We have opened a critical ticket and are currently reviewing this error.

The fix for this is scheduled to deploy the morning of Monday, March 15th. 1040-NR returns should continue to be held until this blog post is updated giving the all clear.
Scenario:
You are trying to create and submit an e-file for a 1040NR and receiving a message that you cannot efile because it contains form 1040NR
Workaround:
Hold the return
Solution: We are having our development team look into this to turn 1040NR e-file back on.
3/8/21
MO has resolved the issued on their end. For any MO returns rejected with Reject Code MO1040-0022, they can be resubmitted at this time.
We have opened Issue 5631 regarding MO Reject Code MO1040-0022 which states, “Taxable Social Security reported on Form MO-A, Part 3, Section A, B, and C is not equal“. MO has indicated this is an issue on their end and will notify us when this issue has been resolved. At this time, if you have any impacted MO returns with this reject code, please do not resubmit until this blog post has been updated.
3/1/21 – This issue has been resolved.
Issue 5595 was opened to address an issue within Oregon returns. Some returns that have an Oregon return added is causing the calc to break, meaning the Summary/Print page will not load, also creating issues when attempting to access the OR return and the e-file menu. This issue has been corrected and the fix should be deployed early next week (most likely Monday or Wednesday).
3:10 pm ET: MFA via text messaging has been restored
————————-
Our engineers have been made aware of an issue our MFA service provider is experiencing with sending MFA Text Messages. They are currently engaged with the service provider working towards alternative MFA methods until this issue is resolved. MFA via e-mail does not appear to be impacted at this time.
